Senior Living/ Healthcare projects

Bethesda Home Chicago, IL

Bethesda Home is a Senior Living and wellness center located in the Oak Park area of Chicago, IL.  This addition to their historic building adds a physical therapy, occupational therapy, and short-term care facility for those seeking nursing post-injury or surgery.

Completed: 2016

Design Development

Goal: Add to the initial preliminary designs, a cohesive space with a sense of the Oak Park, craftsman style.

Completed was a re-design of the welcome center into a craftsman style living space. This style theme was then extending to all areas of the facility, with extra emphasis to the physical therapy area.

This re-design was completed within the original layout, scope of services, and within building and state codes for housing.

As a designer I am capable of all levels of design coordination with Architects, Contractors and clients. This can be completed individually or as a team.

In this project I worked as a sole designer with 2 architects.

In this project, I completed: millwork designs and details, ceiling features, finish selections, and overall coordination of the interior package.
